The apartments were simply beautiful, with a breathtaking view. Not only were they well equipped but stylish and comfortable - the location was fantastic, just a short walk to shops, restaurants and the ferry terminal.
I would certainly recommend them for a relaxing, tropical retreat from life!

We had a brilliant time staying at Beachside. The apartment was roomy and comfortable and we felt right at home. The facilities were first-rate and in no time at all we were thoroughly relaxed.

My husband and I stayed at Beachside for two days and nights early May 2009 and I think it should be noted that when one experiences such wonderful service coupled with accommodation that rivals the best 5 star resorts in other major cities it should be advertised proudly, too often are we quick to submit grievances or formal complaints but you won't find that here.
Beachside was such a glorious experience, from the clean, modern, crisp, well laid out apartments and decor to the convenience of its locality, to the on site manager available when needed with a relaxed yet professional demeanor that seems to only enhance your stay and embrace the wonderful island culture and who was always eager to help make your stay more enjoyable - if that is possible because it was bordering on perfect the entire stay. So much so that we booked the same room for another two days and nights in August. Everything that we needed was in the full self contained ultra modern apartments, all we had to ensure we had was food and drink - easy.
I can say unequivocally that John and I will stay at Beachside whenever visiting Magnetic Island, if only we could take it with us when we travel to other destinations that are not as fortunate to have such wonderful and modern and comfortable accommodation.
We also have recommended the accommodation to many friends since our stay and several have stayed there since or have booked to stay there. Those that have stayed concur with our comments and will make it their accommodation of choice for any future stays on Maggie.

We chose Beachside because it looked like a nice place from the website and it had a spa overlooking the water. On arrival at Maggie we walked from the ferry - this was no problems at all as it was very close to the ferry terminal. The location overall was ideal. I don't know what Julie expected but the unit itself was way beyond what I thought it would be. An exceptionally well presented and designed unit, in a very nice location on the island. Having a few drinks on the balcony looking out across the water was very relaxing!
The room itself was fantastic, however the service is what will guarantee our return. Very friendly and relaxed service from you made our trip. Whilst the majority of the plans for our stay at the island fell through, the stay at Beachside made the entire trip worthwhile. The units there are perfect for a stay of a few days or longer. A few comments about our stay at Beachside Apartments on the May Day long weekend 2009. The location is great for walking to the Ferry Terminal, Bus Stop, IGA Supermarket and other close by restaurants and shops. The apartments are very spacious and very well equipped with everything that you would need for a great holiday, they even supply beach towels! The idea of a lap pool and a smaller swimming pool put together is great, plus the idea of an outdoor gym set near the pool is a good idea. Another bonus is that each unit has their own BBQ so you don’t have to use the same community BBQ as other guests. Excellent apartments, great location and the management is always more than happy to help out with any needs. We would definitely recommend these apartments to other people! Sharon Lancini. Beachside is Beautifulby Debbie Denison This week end Beachside Magnetic Harbour will open its doors to both residents and visitors of the island to inspect our newest high end accommodation apartments on the island. The Community News was invited to come down and have a good look around the 20 apartment complex and we were both pleasantly surprised with the individual approach of each apartment In the way it has been appointed and what Beachside has to offer. Designed by Dillon Architects of Townsville who have most successfully incorporated indoor/outdoor living and the views and aspects are very pleasing on the eye, it is very deceiving from the road what the apartments really look like because all of the windows and doors cleverly cantilever open on to the outdoor deck area, you can enjoy a spa with a view. Beachside was built by David Harney Constructions, tastefully landscaped by local resident Michael Terkelson from Lifestyle Landscapes and beautifully appointed by interior designers Techset Furniture. Beachside was completed in September 2008 and all of the 20 apartments have been sold. In February this year onsite managers Mark Shanahan and Deborah Mills took over the helm of holiday letting all of the apartments. Mark has some 30 years experience in the tourism industry and has lived on Magnetic Island for the past 16 years while Deborah has previously managed Shaw’s on the Shore in Horseshoe Bay. Each apartment is fully self contained with a large flat screen TV, DVD, well appointed kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all the mod appliances and a luxurious 2 person spa in each Master bedroom. The apartments are luxury plus with plush comfortable lounge settings and each balcony is a equipped with a large gas BBQ and an outdoor settings to seat 8 persons. There is a lap pool as well as a swimming pool, outdoor furniture on the lawns and some very impressive views over the hills, the harbour and back to Townsville overlooking Cleveland Bay. The workmanship in the actual finish of the complex is of a very high standard each apartment has their own carport a couple even have two, these holiday apartments are definitely 5 star, Mark told the Community News “We decided to have the apartments open to the public so people could see what they really look like". Beachside Magnetic Harbour is really like another world it is luxurious and peaceful right on the marina, yet is central to the ferry, beach, shops and restaurants The views are stunning, the colours of sun rise over the harbour are any photographers delight or on an artists palette board. There are 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments that are available for holiday letting.
